Please join us at Hope Lodge for a lecture by Friends of Hope Lodge board member and Curator at Peter Wentz Farmstead, Sarah Biehl. Ms. Biehl will be discussing Hannah Callender Sansom, an 18th century Quaker living in Philadelphia. In August 1761, Sansom visited Samuel Morris' "White Marsh" estate and wrote about the experience in her diary. Sansom's mention of historical events, relationships with fellow Philadelphian Quakers, and even her strong opinion on the Samuel Morris' home will be discussed.
Free Admission. Donations welcome.
