Fiscal Year in Review

September 2025

Dear Friends,

Another successful fiscal that ended on June 30th!  Our volunteer organization has been able to successfully continue our private and Sunday tours and programs for Halloween, Encampment, and Christmas Holiday events and we were able to hold our 8th annual British car show in spite of the inclement weather. Our property and especially our gardens continue to benefit from the efforts of our garden committee who continue to keep them in great shape. Our site continues to be an attractive venue for couples who choose us for wedding ceremonies and by professional photographers. And we’ve begun preparation for America’s 250th birthday next year by doing research for an exhibit on William West who owned Hope Lodge during the Revolution. Finally, we’ve been successful in returning agriculture to the site. A farmer has signed a five year lease with the state to farm the fields and the fields have been recently plowed in preparation for planting a hay field.

In closing, I want to thank all the volunteers, members, and board members who have continued to support our organization. It’s you that makes our success in making this an attractive place for our community to visit and enjoy.

Sincerely,

Kevin Horan

President, Friends of Hope Lodge
